This seems to be the season for writers’ festivals. I’m just back from a lovely day at Featherston, speaking to a lively group there. And just before that was in Christchurch, receiving the NZSA Heritage Literary Award for Fiction! Harbouring won which was a thrill for me.
Now the Verb Festival is about to launch this week in Wellington. This is another iteration of the old Writers and Readers Festival and will take place mainly in Cuba St Wellington venues – The Naumi Hotel (213 Cuba St) and Meow, but other venues too like Te Papa and Pataka. I will be speaking at the Naumi Hotel on Friday 4th 10-11 a.m. Lots of other well-known writers will be speaking singing reciting. Check out the website and come along.
