Failure to launch

Well it seems as if there won’t be a book launch, in the form that we know it, for Harbouring.

In covid times it’s too uncertain for bookshops and publishers to prepare and market a launch. Understandable. Our launches have been family events where a song was specially written ( by Laughton and me) and sung in four parts by the family with accompanying instruments – guitars, mandolin, violin and sometimes euphonium and clarinet. Not this time. In any case Laughton is no longer with us to write the music and train the choir.

So we’ll just have to spread the word. Perhaps you can help. Even getting Harbouring to bookshops is being a mission with so many sick or isolating.
